October was a month of fun and family! Some relatives spent their vacation with us and we got to bond a lot. This has been one of the most fun months I’ve had this year and I’ll tell you why through this post of My Favorite Things. (Also, congratulations to the link-up for the one-year anniversary!)
A Whole New World reunion
Lea Salonga and Brad Kane reunite and sing A Whole New World after 23 years! I can’t even explain how happy this video makes me feel. I’ve played it so many times over the month of October. Their voices are still so magical and as a Disney fan, I feel like a little kid again every time I listen to it.
My aunts (from Edmonton and San Francisco) stayed with us for vacation. As a result, I got a lot of gifts from them: clothes, chocolate, a lip balm, and more clothes! And I’m really really grateful. The pile you see above consists of a Star Wars shirt and workout tops from Lululemon + a sneaky pair of purple jeggings. The book was ordered and paid for by my mom from Amazon; she had it shipped to my aunt for lower shipping costs.
The next things on my list will be related to time spent with my aunts.
Sabine Wren shirt
Basically part of the list above- but I felt this deserved to have its own bullet point. My aunt got me one of the things on my wish list: a Star Wars Rebels Sabine Wren hoodie from Her Universe! It’s the perfect thing to wear for casual cosplaying/Disneybounding! I can’t wait to wear it!
I also hope to put up a review of this top soon.
Sportsgirl Cropped Khaki Jacket
During one weekday, I got to hang out with my cousin (who’s from Manila, like me) while my aunts watched a movie with my mom and grandmother. While venturing around the mall, my cousin spotted this cute jacket that was on sale and I knew I had to get it. And what a steal it was at only 3 USD!
My aunts coming over was such a blessing! They came at the perfect time too as I had been feeling pretty down in late November/early October. And since my aunts were on vacation, we gathered the rest of the family to join us. Time spent with family really cheered me up. Some highlights include:
– Girl’s Afternoon Massage (featuring me, my cousin, my mom, my grandmother, my sister, and my aunts)
– Watching The Walk on IMAX
– Tagaytay day trip (including a fabulous Margherita Pizza lunch and a Lemon Crepe for dessert)
– QC/Maginhawa St. dinner (Modern Filipino cuisine at Pino and homemade ice cream at Papa Diddi’s)
– Relatives Get-together at our place
– Peking duck (two-way) lunch at Peking Garden
– Lunch buffet at Yakimix
– Getting the time to hang out with my cousin who’s usually busy
I guess that’s pretty much it. How was your October? 🙂
