Timeless Thoughts: Crash Bandicoot

My brother and I were talking about our favorite Play Station 1 games recently so I thought I’d mention one of them in this month’s Timeless Thoughts entry. I’m not a gamer so it’s not common for me to bring up a game and dedicate an entire blog post to it. That’s how memorable this game was for me.

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. Did anyone else play that game growing up? It was my favorite among the three Crash Bandicoot games. I would loooovvee to play it again but since our PS1 is no longer in tip-top shape, the only access I have at the moment is by watching gameplays on YouTube.

Here’s what it’s about: The game involves Crash Bandicoot racing across time by going through different levels- shown as mini games (plus little Bonus levels in between) that you need to complete at different locations. Once you complete the number of levels needed in that specific location, you end up fighting the assigned boss for that place. The game ends once you complete all the locations and defeat all the bosses.

And yeah, that’s pretty much what I recall.

Watercolor Art Post

As some of you may know, painting with watercolor is a hobby of mine. So today, I thought I’d share some of my works that I haven’t posted here yet. Some of them are new while others are months old.

To view some other works I’ve shared, click here. If you’re thinking about trying watercolor painting for yourself, I recommend checking out these posts I made:

My Favorite Things: April 2016

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a great month so far. I have. I know I’ve been out of the loop again due to this blogging slump (it’s a thing, I guess) + the fact that I also use a shared laptop. But I’m back at least for now, and I will be checking on all your blogs and the wonderful comments here too. Give me a few days to catch up.

For now, here’s a list of My Favorite Things from April!

Timeless Thoughts: American Idol

The American Idol Season 15 finale and supposed last-ever episode aired last week so I thought I’d talk about it for this month’s Timeless Thoughts. It made me quite emotional because I’ve been watching this show since I was in elementary school. It will feel strange not looking forward to a new season next January.

Though I wasn’t a completely loyal fan having missed a few seasons, I still got to experience the show in its peak. I was a constant visitor at VoteForTheWorst.com during its strongest years, was familiar with some fan terms and the whole WGWG thing when it started, and even managed to put up a fansite to support my favorite contestant: David Archuleta.

The show used to be such a staple in my household. We would gather as a family to watch. Yes, it would get suuuupper cheesy at times but that’s part of the fun of it!

I still remember being in elementary school and freaking out when I saw Jasmine Trias in a mall show. Though, not in person as my mom and I had to leave before her show started! That was the first of many memories to come from this show.

Recap: March

Behold… My veerrryyy late March recap because I forgot to publish this post. (Oops!)

March flew by so quick! Here’s a recap of what happened in my geeky life.

A Food Trip

I don’t really get to hang out with my friends anymore, though it’s not such a problem because we’re all introverts! However, one afternoon we just felt like going out and having a food trip. We went and explored Maginhawa Street in Quezon City. It’s this small street with a lot of food stalls, food trucks, and independent restaurants- basically a foodie’s heaven!

Our itinerary: Lunch at Gastronomeats, Dessert at Caffera, and Poutine at Canadian Snack Shack.
