I attended Adobo Magazine’s Festival of Ideas last Nov. 7th. It’s a conference about advertising, marketing, design, and innovation.
I went alone and I was pretty much an awkward turtle during the whole event while I was surrounded by groups of friends. This was me the whole time:
*sees people lining up for something*
*quietly follows these said people in an attempt to look normal*
But I think no one really wants to hear about my socially awkward self. So let’s just proceed to the better parts of this post: pictures from the event!
(apologies for the quality)
The Good: There were a bunch of speakers I enjoyed listening to. I also learned new stuff and I got to brush up on my Marketing. I also enjoyed the design talks, especially the one by the uber-talented Dan Matutina. His work inspires me.
The Bad: There was one particular speaker that extended his talk that it delayed Lunch. Also, another bad thing: the lunch they served (it came with our ticket) was a tiny container- smaller than a dipping sauce bowl of mac & cheese and this skinny slice of pizza.
Still, the good points overthrew the bad. And I’m considering attending again next year. I’ll make sure to have a heavy breakfast beforehand though.
