Indie Artist

Hi all! I wanted to make an important announcement: I have moved my ONLINE SHOP! My Redbubble one will still be up but all my new works will go to my new shop. My designs are mostly Star Wars-themed at the moment but I will have new stuff up soon!

I’d like to thank everyone who visits my blog for the support and once again I’d like to ask if you guys can help spread the word. Share the love!

You see… I am an independent artist. A portion of the sales for the shirts will go to me (while the rest will go to the supplies, printing, and hosting). They won’t go to some rich man in a suit who’ll be buying his third vacation house in yet another lavish location. The funds’ll go towards keeping my passion for art alive. After all, making art is what I do for a living.

And oh as of this writing, the shirts are currently on sale at 14 bucks!

Here’s a nice quote I found to back up my statement:

When you buy from an independent artist you are buying more than just a painting or a novel or a song.  You are buying hundreds of hours of experimentation and thousands of failures.  You are buying days, weeks, months, years of frustration and moments of pure joy.  You are buying nights of worry about paying the rent, having enough money to eat, having enough money to feed the children, the birds, the dog.  You aren’t just buying a thing.  You are buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a private moment in someone’s life.  Most importantly, you are buying that artist more time to do something they are truly passionate about; something that makes all of the above worth the fear and the doubt; something that puts the life into the living.

Support Independent Artists. We make things because we enjoy doing them. It is our passion and you can be assured that everything we make is out of love. The money just helps keep the lights on.

Also… As an independent artist, I make sure to support other independent artists too. If you’re one- whether it’s through visual art, design, music, photography, writing, etc… and you have an online shop or portfolio, please leave your link in the comments or tweet me. I’d love to check out your stuff!

If you’re an artist and don’t have a shop yet, you can sign up for your own shop using my referral link HERE. (Don’t worry, nothing will get deducted from you. I’ll just get points. Plain and simple.)

  1. That’s cool that you have an online shop! I love Star Wars, and I like your Darth Vader design 🙂 I think it’s great to support indie artists. Most of the prints that I have hanging at home are by indie artists. Good luck with your store!
