Rainbow Punk Prom

I created this illustration set a few years ago.  I was experimenting with Paint Tool SAI then and I wanted to doodle some girls to familiarize myself with the program. Little did I know that this spontaneous urge of chaotic creative expression would end up as one of my favorite personal artworks to this day.

My idea for this illustration set came from what I’ve been doodling in my notebooks all these years: You see, I’m the type of person who loves coming up with weird clothes combinations. In order to execute that, I’d go into my subconscious and let my imagination run wild- I’d draw whatever first thing comes to me. This has been part of my personal artwork creative process (it’s a good way to let loose) and I heavily applied so to these works.

Behold! I introduce to you one of my favorite creations… the Rainbow Punk Prom.

Punker than Punk. Colorfully Weird. Strange to the Bone. With Clothes and Cuts that don’t make sense.

(All illustrations were taken from my old Tumblr– where they were originally posted)

  1. I wanna first say, thank you for your comment on Color Musing, and I appreciate it, and second of all, I like your idea of what your drawings are trying to express. I love all three designs, especially the first one. I love purple! Seriously. Anyhow, thank you for visiting Color Musing and hopefully you visit Arcadia 😀 I’m totally shamelessly plugging my new blog, please forgive me. Lol

    1. No problem, Michelle! 🙂

I’m so glad you liked the illustrations. Thanks for stopping by too! I’ll definitely check out your new blog. 🙂
