Recap: November

Hey all! I know I’ve been missing in action lately and here’s why: November was a darn hectic month. Because of that, I didn’t get to work on blogging more, getting back to the comments, and putting up the entries I was hoping to put up that month. Hopefully December will treat me better.

Sleepless Nights

I was (and still am) working on different projects where I had to meet quick deadlines. A lot of complications happened along the way too. It’s especially hard because I was pretty idle the months before this and then bam! Overwhelming work. It got me so worn out physically, creatively, and even emotionally. That being said, I now look back and realize that despite the craziness, I still wouldn’t have changed a thing. Because I picked up some learnings. I learned to make more use of my time, stick to my To Do lists, and to work faster too. But the one of the most important things I learned is that I should make rest a priority too. It’s only last weekend that I did get to have some rest after a while and it felt really good. Health is important and I feel I need to sometimes slow down and take care of myself too.

I spent this November being engrossed with reading books too! I haven’t been this much of a bookworm in a while but I like how I’ve been all hyped up on reading again. You see, I’ve been having difficulty sleeping these past couple of weeks because even in bed, I’ve been constantly brainstorming on new ideas for my projects. Reading has helped calm down my mind. I often spend my time reading before bed and right after waking up. It’s one of my favorite ways to take my mind off things and escape for a little while.

I finished these books this November: Cress by Marissa Meyer, Fairest by Marissa Meyer, and Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. I also started reading Winter by Marissa Meyer the other day.

Star Wars Craziness

The excitement has been building up like crazy now that the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is growing closer and closer. I’m seeing more and more merch and little fan events happening around. I’ve even bought a new lightsaber recently and have also purchased my tickets to the opening weekend already!

  1. I really hope that you enjoy the new Star Wars film when it comes out. I have seen merchandise all over the place. Some things little and other things huge! I hope that you can get some sleep. It’s good that reading has been a positive. 🙂
