Recap: October

Since October is almost Oct-OVER, I thought I’d do a quick recap of this fun-filled month.

Future Day

On the 21st of October 2015, I went Back To the Future-inspired when my friends and I met up. I still can’t get over how crazy it is that the day really happened. I’ve been counting down to Marty McFly’s visit to the future since the early 2000s! And today, I can say that the “future” is now our past.

Almost-Weekly Meetings

In connection to the post above… I’ve been having meetings to finish that project I’m working on with friends. We’ll be implementing changes though so we may be revealing this later than scheduled. Keep posted in the meantime!

Relatives from abroad visited

My illustration gift for my Aunts

This was the highlight of the month! My aunts- one from Canada and another from the USA stayed with us for almost 3 weeks. It was something I was looking forward to for half a year and I had more fun than I expected. And they came at just the right time too as my anxiety was swallowing me whole again… Anyway, our house became so lively! I also got a lot of gifts from my aunts which I will be talking about in next month’s My Favorite Things post. Since I had a lot of free time, I got to join in every time they went out with my parents. I’ll miss eating out (and all that fooood), going on those shopping trips, and getting to exchange stories with them. I love hanging out with family.

As of yesterday, my aunts have already boarded their planes back to their homes.

Books and Movies

The Remnant Chronicles + The Lunar Chronicles

I told myself I would read more this month but since I was out a lot, that didn’t really get to happen. I did finish Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson (The Remnant Chronicles #2) though- which I enjoyed, and I’m now finally reading Cress by Marissa Meyer (The Lunar Chronicles #3). Finally!

The Walk, Summer Wars, Heathers

As for movies, I got to watch three good ones this month: The Walk on IMAX and Summer Wars and Heathers (1988) at home. I enjoyed all three with Mamoru Hosoda’s Summer Wars topping the list.

Hope you all had an awesome October too! Did you guys do anything cool too?

  1. It’s so great that the Future Day finally arrived and you were able to celebrate it. Still need the hover boards!

That’s cool that you have been meeting with friends and working on the project. I hope it all works out really well. 😀

I am glad that you enjoyed the time with your aunts and it’s lovely that you made the designs of them. 😀

I am interested to see the movie The Walk. 😀

    1. I know, right? Hoverboards, why aren’t you mass-produced yet?

Thank you! 🙂 We’re hoping this works out well.

The Walk was great. 🙂 It’s more of a stunning movie than anything and one that’s best to watch it in IMAX.
